Side Effects

Diarrhoea, dyspepsia, myalgia, oedema, dizziness and headache.
Asthenia/fatigue, 1st dose hypotension, rash, angioedema, elevation of liver enzymes, impaired renal function, hyperkalaemia.


Mild to moderate hypertension.
Diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Contra Indications

Pregnancy and lactation.


Volume-depleted patients including patients on diuretics and salt restriction, renal artery stenosis, elderly, renal or hepatic impairment.
