Side Effects

Erythema or pruritus at application site, headache, sleeplessness, myalgia, flu like syndrome, nausea, dizziness, dyspepsia, dry mouth, diarrhoea, sweating, angioneurotic edema, urticaria and dyspnea.

Indications

Treatment of nicotine dependence, as an aid to smoking cessation.

Contra Indications

Hypersensitivity.
Occasional smokers, children, pregnancy and lactation, acute MI and unstable angina, cardiac arrhythmias, recent cerebrovascular accident, active peptic ulcer.

Caution

Hypertension, stable angina cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, peptic ulcer, renal or hepatic impairment, skin diseases.
