Side Effects

Headache, dizziness, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, myalgia and asthenia.
Peripheral oedema, depression, insomnia, rash, paraesthesia, proteinuria and asthenia.
Rhabdomyolysis with acute renal failure.

Indications

Primary hypercholesterolaemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia) or mixed dyslipidaemia (type IIb), including familial hypercolesterolaemia.

Contra Indications

Severe renal impairment, active liver disease, hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin, myopathy, cyclosporin.
Pregnancy and lactation.

Caution

Sepsis, hypotension, major surgery, trauma, severe metabolic endocrine and electrolyte disorders or uncontrolled seizures.
History of liver disease and alcoholism.
